Kickboxing involves both aerobic and anaerobic workouts. It is a full body workout and generally starts with warm up and involves movements of various muscles in the body such as the knees. It involves strikes, kicks and punches. It ends with cooling down and generally a stretching of the body. Previously, it involved full contact kicks and punches, but due to safety measures it has been banned in karate and now padding and protective clothing has been introduced.
